Rugged Design
As well as operating in extreme temperatures (-30°C to +70°C), the MP 880W and 881W GPS wireless gateways meet US Military and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) specifications for vibration, shock, drop, rain/splash, humidity, sand/dust, and salt fog. The MP 880W and 881W are proven to withstand these harsh environments and is versatile enough to be deployed in industrial applications and in water craft.

Global Mobility
The MP 880W and 881W GPS provide true global wireless data connectivity. The devices operate on HSUPA networks at peak download speeds of 7.2 Mbps but are backwards compatible to UMTS, EDGE and GPRS networks. If an HSUPA network is not readily available, the MP 880W and 881W GPS will connect to the fastest available GSM network in your area to keep you connected. The MP 880W offers receive diversity for improved fringe performance in Europe and Asia, while MP881W offers receive diversity for improved fringe performance on North American networks.

Wi-Fi Access Point
To offer enhanced versatility, the MP 880W and 881W now have embedded Wi-Fi Wireless Access Point capabilities. The 802.11 b/g AP radio allows 10 Wi-Fi enabled device connections to the MP 880W and 881W offer a mobile WLAN network. The Wireless Access Point has included Wi-Fi security features and can be configured to make installation easy, by eliminating the need for any cabling for a laptop installation in vehicle.

Fleet Management
The MP 880W and 881W come with Watcher™ software that allows you to easily monitor and manage data connections for a single unit. MP Modem Manager – a feature rich, server-based diagnostic software management tool allowing your network administrator remote monitoring and configuration of your MP fleet.
