DFBM-CN420 Bluetooth™ Module Class 2

A Class 2 Bluetooth module suitable for wireless Gateway applications.

Kalimba DSP
This is an open platform DSP allowing signal processing functions to be performed on over-air data or CODEC data in order to enhance audio applications.

The key features of the DSP include:

UART Interface
This is a standard UART interface for communicating with other serial devices. It provides a simple mechanism for communicating with other serial devices using the RS232 protocol.

USB Interface
This is a full speed (12Mbits/s) Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface for communicating with other compatible digital devices. DFBM-CN420 acts as a USB peripheral, responding to requests from a master host controller such as a PC. The USB interface can drive a USB cable directly, no external USB transceiver is required. Both the OHCI and the UHCI standards are supported.

A USB device driver is required as a software interface between DFBM-CN420 and the software running on the host computer. Drivers are available from www.csrsupport.com.

DFBM-CN420 is qualified to the USB specification v1.1, and is compatible with USB v2.0 host controllers; the two ends agree the mutually acceptable rate of 12Mbits/s according to the USB v2.0 specification.
