BlueCore™5 Multimedia RoadTunes

RoadTunes is a new host based software solution from CSR.
CSR has developed a unique software interface for its BlueCore™5-Multimedia family which speeds up the development of Bluetooth customer applications to significantly reduce the product time to market.
By integrating a simple software interface on their processor, CSR customers have access to a multitude of tested Bluetooth profiles: A2DP (source and sink), AVRCP (target and controller), HFP, SPP and PBAP running on the BlueCore™5-Multimedia IC. This software interface enables commands to control the BlueCore5-Multimedia via UART and requires very low additional MIPS on their main processor.
This new software contains an automotive grade echo cancellation and noise reduction solution in the form of the CSR’s new cVc Gen 4 algorithm. TTS from one of CSR partners has also been added to the RoadTunes application example (contact NowSpeak for more information).

The new RoadTunes architecture enables customers to develop an in-car multimedia platform with Bluetooth applications faster and easier than that currently available.

To run RoadTunes requires a BlueTunes2 board with BlueCore5-Multimedia. It takes just a short time to demonstrate using a PC.
