Product architecture
The E6000 replaces the conventional GPS baseband integrated circuit with software running on an application processor or DSP in the embedded device. The software runs within CSR's BCHS scheduler to optimize the co-existence with other applications and to ease product integration. In applications where a data link (WLAN, GPRS, 3G, etc) is available, the E6000 system is capable of accepting and using assistance data to accelerate satellite acquisition. Supported processors, reference design platforms and operating systems:CSR’s E6000 comes with a porting guide and example applications, making it easy to port to your target platform. The BCHS framework which the E6000 is delivered with has been ported to most leading cellular platforms and to all common operating systems.
